It is the year 2038 when suddenly, a ring shaped object appeared in the orbit around planet earth. Scientists around the world are baffled by the sudden appearance and it’s purpose. Finally there was proof that mankind wasn’t alone in the universe, and people all around the world prepared themselves for what kind of alien lifeform would reveil themselves.

Would they look like humans? Or would they have grotesque shapes and forms? For those that believed in aliens all their life, this was a very exciting time.

Only… The reveal wanted by oh so many people across the world never came. Many years came and went… But the aliens never revealed themselves. The ring shaped object just hanging there in orbit around earth… Even with hundreds of tests the various governments from around the world undertook to find out it’s purpose.

Until eventually, forty years after it’s appearance in the orbit, almost no one still cared about it anymore. It had become just as common as the moon. Something that was always “Just there”.

Well, at least as far as the general population was concerned…
